President Donald Trump took executive action on Wednesday to implement a key policy of his 2024 campaign, which prevents transgender women from participating in women’s sports. The executive order, named “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports,” was signed during an afternoon ceremony in the East Room.

The president was accompanied by numerous women and some young girls dressed in athletic attire at the signing event. Trump stated, “With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over,” indicating the order’s intention to maintain traditional gender divisions in sports.
